To Secretary - Acknowldedges the two foregoing letters and with reference to the suggestion that the practice which has butht obtained in Bombay of not requiring any special guarantee on the resignation or departure on Furlough of a Civil Servant may be generally adopted states that the rule for taking guarantee in the absence of an ecquittance Certificate has received the approval of the Honble Court and that the rule has not been productive of any inconvencence in Bengal and as it is desirable the practice should be uniform in all the Pres. His Lordship in Council # the proposal to dispence with the rule in Bombay.
