Letter from Mr. Thomas Luke Stokes, representing that as he came out to India as Surgeon on the Company Packst Trial his subsequent appointment as Assistant Surgeon to the army should be regarded as a transfer of his services, and that he should be given rank from the date of his original appointment in Europe and enclosing a certificate.
