Referring to his Despatch No. 2, dated 16th January last requests to be informed whether any and what arrangements has been made in regard to the office of Sheriff at Calcutta, observes that the question of the abolition of the office of Sheriff at Bombay has been referred for the consideration of this Government by the Government of that Presidency.
