From Board - In reply to letter of 28th Ultimo. Submit copy of correspondence with the Medical Board to whom it appears that the probationary Quarantine proposed at the New Anchorage would be a very considerable improvement on the present System, and that Measures of Quarantine so far as regards the purification and expurgation of Cargoes could not with propriety be dispensed with under less than 9 months from the date of the Cessation of the Plague in the Gulf.
