Copy of a letter from A. Brodie, Storekeeper of the Garrison of Fort St. George, to the President at Fort St. George, pointing out very forcibly the various disad vantages to the Company of the contract which the Board has given Touchet to supply the Madras Presidency with live stock and salted provisions, and complaining that the cargoes of rice, imported from Bengal, are of inferior quality, and often, owing to the bills of lading not being signed by the Captain, much less in quantity than is specified on the bills of lading.
