Resolution - In advertence to Extract Military Department dated 26th October last & to the foregoing Report from the Director General communicates to that Department & to the Director General that it has been resolved with reference to the general reduction in the rates of postage, not to exempt officers either European or Native of Corps stationed at Barrackpore but doing duty at Fort William from the payment of forward postage on letters to their address, but to grant the indulgence to sepoys who were formerly exempted altogether from the payment of postage, their pay being comparatively small.
