Reply to office Memorandum No. 1430, dated 24th ultimo, informs that Brevet-Colonel J.K.Spence, Commissioner, Jubbulpore Division, is entitled to furlough on private affairs for two years, which he can take at any time, subject to the exigency of the public service. But it has been recently rules that no officer should leave his station, until he has sent in his application (through the Adjutant General) and received an official intimation from the Military Department that the Furlough will be Granted
