(1) His Majesty's Secretary of State for India's confirmation to the proceeding of the Government of India in appointing Captain J.R. Broun, 2nd-in-Command, Khyber Rifles, and Mr. P.L. Moore, District Magistrate and Collector of Bangalore, to hold temporary charge of cadre posts in the Political Department. (2) Government of India authorised to appoint in future officers from outside the Political Department to officiate temporarily therein, without retaining charge of their own duties, on the understanding that this authority will be used only in cases of real necessity, and the consequent arrangements will be of a strictly temporary nature
