(1) The appointment of Captain J.R. Broun, 2nd-in-Command, Khyber Rifles, and Mr. P.L. Moore, District Magistrate and Collector of Bangalore, to hold temporary charge of cadre posts in the Political Department, as confirmed by His Majesty's Secretary of State for India. (2) With the understanding that this authority will only be exercised in cases of genuine necessity and that the resulting arrangements will be of a strictly temporary nature, the Government of India is authorised to nominate in the future officers from outside the Political Department to serve there temporarily, without maintaining responsibility for their own duties.
