Question of revival of the scheme of sending scholars abroad for higher training in painting and allied trades and also of the apprenticeship scheme in the Government of India Presses, Calcutta and New Delhi. Decision that the apprenciceship scheme should be revived and that two apprentices should be recruited for each of the two presses annually. The course of training should be reduced to 4 years. As regards scheme of sending scholars aboroad, it has been decided that use should be made of the Education department's advanced training scheme for so long as it is in force
