Secretary - In reply to letter of 19th August last transmits copy of the correspondence which has passed relative to the intenduction at the Madras presiding of the system which has been bought into operation in Bengal of examiniry periodically assistants in the Revrend and Judicial Department # tyhat the measeres proposed for adopting it for Madras will be approved.
