Resolution Forwards the foregoing to the Financial Department together with the correspondence that proceeded it relating to Major candys case and with reference to the arrangements proposed by the Bombay Government incouerexion with the Offices held by Major Candys consequent on hisintended departure to Engloand states that now that the duties of Marhatta Translator have been distinetly explained that the G. G. has no objection to assiyn a salary of 200 Rs. to that officer and permit Major Candy to held it in addition to the Principal Ship of the Poonah College the Salary of which is 600 Rs. per month and that if Major Candys is permitted to go to Europe on Sick Leave the Bombay Government can make such arrangements for the purformance of his duties during his absence as they may think propoer. The necessary orders to be issued by the Financial Department after the consideration of this Resolution and the papers forwarded herewith.
