Secretary Bombay - States that in accordance with insturction for the Honble Court in order to # as far as practicable the extent of the Mails conveyed by the Contract Steam Vessels between India and the several Ports to the Eastwared at which these Vessels are appointed to tonch the Post Master General of that Presidency has submitted a statement containing the required information and which Statement has been transmitted by the Bombay Government to the Honble Court. The Government however being donbtful whether under the alterted constitution of the Indian Post Office Department the Post Master General should continue to send similar Statements to the Government of Bombay or to the Government of India requests instruction on the Subject.
