Secretary Bombay - In reply to letter of 6 th July last relative to the transmissionof Duplicate of Disputches to the Honble Corut in doxes as freight by the Mail Steamers being opposed to the Courtact will the P & O Company, reprot that such documents were sent only on one occasion - Forwards copy of a letter from the Advocate General Communiating his opinion as to the practice of forwarding as freight all Mr. S. Copies of corresp; referred to in the Despatches to the Court of Directors, from which it appears that such papeers are in legal contunplation part & parecl of the Despatches themselves. Awaih the instractions of the Government of India until receipt of which, purposes sending all M. S. accompaniments to the Court by Post.
