Chief Secretary - Refering Correspondence which passed in 1846 requests order on the Establishment of un-Commissioned Officers of the Sappers and Miners who have been transferred from the Military Department for Civil employ in the Department of Public works informing an annual civil charge of Rs. 20045.6 and recommends increase to the salaries of nine of the Department to the extent of Rs. 183.2.9 per Month a Rs. 2198.1 per annum.
