To Chief Secretary - In reply. States that under the construction put at this Presidency on the Orders of the Court of Directors bearing on the allowances of Military Officers filling Civil Situations, the Surgeon to the Governor would not be entitled to draw his Military Pay but that there can be no objection to a consolidation of the allowances hitherto of increase, however, should be referred for the Orders of the Court.
