To Board - In reply - States that the Resolution of 10th January last was intended to rescind the order of 24th May 1831 for debiting the Military and other Department with certain charges on account of passages afforded to Public Functionaries on Board Pilot Vessels - Referring to the charge of the Loss sustained by the sale of the Brougham to the Political Department it was not intended to make any alteration in the mode of keeping the Marine Accounts - The Rule laid down in orders of 22nd May 1828 directing that the Departments employing Government Steamers shall be charged with their hire will continue to be acted upon. The Marine Department to be charged with 350 Rs. per month during the time the Naval Store Keeper occupied the house in Clive Street.
