Copy of a memorial from Mr. T. Marriott to the Court of Directors, stating that he came out to India in 1776 in expectation of being appointed to the Civil Service in Bengal, but in vain, enumerating his past services since his arrival in India, and soliciting that either he may be appointed a fixed Factor in Bengal or be provided with some other permanent appointment.
