Despatch from the Secy. of State for India forwarding copy of a letter from the Board of Trade, expressing conveyance in the opinion of the Lt. Governor of Bengal on the subject of the collision between the steamships ``Calcutta`` and ``Mahratta`` in the port of Chittagong on 11th October 1885, and requesting that with a view to avoid technical objections necessary instructions may be issued to courts of inquiry so that in future similar cases the sentence may be expressed precisely in accordance with the wording of the Merchant Shipping Act.
