Decision arrived at by the Govt. of India not to agree to the proposal that the Survey of India Deptt. should undertake the reproduction, at their own expense, of the map made by Messrs. Jackman and Darby of the Public Works Deptt. Hong Kong, on the ground that the cost of reproducing will be out of all proportion to the value to India of the information contained in them.

The National Archives of India is on a mission to digitize and make available online each and every record in its repositories. This is an ongoing effort and some records will be made available before the others.
