Memorials of military officers of the Assam Commission regarding their position and prospects in the Eastern Bengal and Assam Commission. Proposal to permit them on promotion to the first grade of Magistrate-Collector to regain any seniority they may have lost owing to suppression by Junior officers of the Indian Civil Service under the rules which govern the promotion of such officers.
