In continuaton of his letter no. 101 of the 5th july 1855 the govr. a communication from the adjt general of the army regarding the refusal of brenst major C. pattension of the 4th N. I. to pay his extra subscirpation to his regt. band fund and declaring the opinion of the commr in chief that a deceision is required whether he can authoritatiely interfere in such matters or not.
