Judicial In conformity with the instructions contained in your letter no 1802 of 15th of last ultimo, I am directed by the Right Hon'ble the Governor of Bengal to submit for the favorable consideration of the Supreme Government, the case of Mr. R. Threlfoll who formerly held the substantive appointment of Special Deputy Collector of Rajshahye on a salary of Rs 1600 per annum. On this abolition of the Special Deputy Collectorship in 1843 Mr. Threlfoll was sent to Jepore to officiate as a Magistrate and it is now proposed to confirm Mr. Threlfoll in the appointment on a salary of Rs 1000 per annum and allow him the office which I believe that sum and the pay of the Jepore Magistracy, as a personal allowance without arrangement the sanction of the Supreme Government is now submitted.
