Extract from a letter, dated the 7th January from the Chief and Council at Surat [to the Government of Bomaby intimating that in few days the Fancy will be despatched to Bombay with rupees 85,000 on board, and representing the difficulties ther Chief and Council experienced to be informed to induce as shroffs to advancee this sum for bills fo exchange on Bengal.
