Letter from Col. T. D. Pearse, reporting that he has ordered the officers under him to be paid the double field batta from the 6th February, asking what the Board had resolved regarding the allowance to officers for tents and for the carriage of tents, intimating that Lieuts. Martindale, Hopkins and Fullerwill return from Ganjam and that Lieut. Skinner has already been sent back, and requesting thathe may be granted a particular commission to fill up vacancies of the native Officers.
