S.E. Railway: Cases filed by Railway employees in Central Government Labour Court, Delhi, under the Industrial Disputes Act -Examination on the points- (1) Whether Labour courts can take up cases on application by the party without references from the Central Govt. or whether Central Govt. have notified assigning of these powers to Labour Courts. (2) Whether an individual worker's application can be heard under the provisions of the Industrial Disputes Act- Law Ministry cited certain judicial decision hearing on this issue. Law Ministry advised that workman would be able to file applications direct to Labour Courts in cases of computation of the benefits which could be computed in terms of money. The Labour Courts would also be competent to entertain such an application made in the prescribed form (Form K-2) S.E. Rly. advised accordingly
