Supposed samples of barium carbonate sent by the Secy. Public Works Deptt., Rajputana to the Geological Survey Deptt. have been found on examination to be barytes (barium Sulphate) & not witheritc (barium carbonate), The Geological Survey Deptt. has not yet succeeded in tracing the reported occurrence of barium carbonate in Rajputana.
