Modification of the Indian Railway Medical Services recruitment guidelines for the position of district medical officer The modifications that followed were:- (i) The non-practicing allowance rate was increased from 20% to 35% of pay, with a cap of Rs. 400. (ii)The number of promotion quota openings was increased from 33 1/3% to 50%
