General managers' authority to look into accusations of arrears. Decision that in the following situations, the G.M. may approve an investigation into claims of arrears:- (1) In cases where the claim is not more than three years old from the date it is filed with the appropriate authority or otherwise comes to light, regardless of the amount involved; (2) In cases where the claim is more than three years old as determined above but the amount related to the period beyond three years does not exceed Rs. 500/- The G.M. may approve an investigation of the portion completed within the allotted three years if the claim amount exceeds Rs. 500, and the question of approval for the remaining portion only
