Acknowledges receipt of this office, No. 100T., dated 27th ultimo, and intimates that he will shortly shew what boundary he would propose to fix between British and Bootan Territory, and that he will not include within our line any more hill land than it is absolutely required for our military Position. Adds that he has communicated to Captain Cory the instructions of Government as to the protection it can offer to the subjects of Bootan who complain of the oppression of their Chiefs.
