In reply to docket no 227 of the 5th Instt, states that taken mily officer holdings civil appointment are ordered to join their regts on field service, they receive allowance under the rules applicable to mily staff officer is they receive the half or full nett staff of their appointment accordings as another officer may or may not be acting in their stead the amount of salary this payable to them is subject to modificate however of they obtain Regimental or other superior comamnd or a staff appointment with the field force.
