Acknowledge the receipt of his letter no. 827 of the 17th July 1855, and to state for the information of the Commander in Chief that the Honble the President in Council approves of the sanction given by his Excellency to the arrangement proposed by Brigadier General Cotton for forming the lauds in the Military Station of Peshawar under the rules now in force at other stations and of the appointment of the Cantonment joint Magistrate to he Secretary and Executive Member of the Committee for the manegement of the conservancy funds.
