Instructed to acknowledge the receipt of his letter no. 915 of the 28th August 1854, and to state for the information of his Excellency for Commander in Chief, that the officers therein recommended have been appointed Brigadiers in Govt. General Order No. 908 of this date and that the most noble the Governor General in Council approved of the proposed arrangements for the temporary command of the Meerut Divison being axercised by the Senior Brigadier Serving in that Division, Brigadier Parsons C.B.
