Read a Despatch No. 20 of 1859, dated the 14th July from the Right Honble the Secretary of State to the Government of Bombay, Stating that His Lordships learns that the Administrator General of that Presidency has of late Disributed the Estates of intestate & others at the end of Six instead of 12 months from the grant of the letters of Administrator pointing out that this deviation from the general rule may seriously effect the interests of creditors & others and requesting therefore that the Bombay Government will intimates to the Administrator General that this practice should be discountinuied. Remarking that cases may occur where the Administrator General can part with are estate without delaly, as for instance when the Indian Administration is clearly ancillary to the Home Administration and that in such cases it is not intended that the above instructions should interfere with the Judgment of the Administrator General.
