Read a despatch No. 92 of the 7th July 1858 from the Honble the Court of Directors replying to paras transferred from other Department relative to pegu and the Tenasserien and martaban provinces on para 19 of which despatch the Honble Court observe that at appear from Major Phayers report that the weight is pegu correspond with those in Barmah and that Great confusion would be caused by any attempt to introduce Indian weights into the rovinee but the Court call attention to the importance of testing receipts on use by reference to the standard of the Tolah so as to allow of their easy comporison with the weights of India and of Europe
