Officiating Secretary - States in reply to letter dated 30th October that circumstances privented the returtion of more than 50 of the sikh Cavalry left by Col. Grealhed to accupy allygarh that the state of Country rendered it in possible to send so small a party to Cawnpore and that with the exception of the 50 no part of the Cavalry arm of the movcable column remained at Agra.
