The possibility of making the services of all temporary employees who have served up to 7 Years or More, as Permanent, may be examined, the minister of railways stated in a statement delivered before parliament. A directive was issued to convert temporary positions into permanent positions that will remain in place for more than three years without additional justification to the extent of 80%, with the exception of work-charged positions. Quarterly progress reports on the permanentization of temporary posts and the verification of temporary employees requested by the Railways up until the quarter ending December 31, 1970
