From the Commander in Chief - With reference to the decision of the Honble the Court of Director upon his application for an outfit allowance ar assurining the Chief Command of the armies in India. He trusts to be supported in this application to the Honble Court for a reconsideration of their decision and urges that on official residence may be provided him - now that the Head Quarter of the Army are fixed at Calcutta so that the Commander in Chief in India may in this respect be placed on the same forting as the Lieut. Governor of Bengal.
