To Secretary Bombay - The proposal for remmunerating the Administrator General by a fixed salary objected to on principle points out that it would be preferalle to allow him a fixed salary of Rs. 1170 a month for the first year of the operation of the new act & Rs. 850 for the second year - permitting him at the same time to return his Commission & leaving him to pay his Establishment - The Bombay Government has been requested to carry out the arrangement leaving it open to the Government to make a fresh one at the end of the Second year. Explanation has also been called for as to the reason why Rs. 5,21,270 only are about to be transferred to the Public Correspondence it would appear that Rs. 6,11,711 wire available .
