From Director General Post Office - With reference to papers received with Doctor dated 25th is apposed the releving the officers in charge of sepply repots in the Grand Trunk Road of the duty of disturbing the pay of the coolies & owners of Bullocks employed by the Post office in the transport of troops by Bullock Train & show those reason of Captain woods desire to be relived from his charge was his dislike to being made a canteen sergent of which duty a commissioned officer should centeraly be relived but not of the duty of paying he establishment be which the troops are conneyed it is undesirably to in trust the native establishment with the performance of the duty wher huge sums an concerned.
