From - With reference to an enquiry of the Bombay Government as to whether an Hospital Assistant who has left the Medical Service for a Clerk ship in the Civil Department can on his reterenment Count as service qualifying him for a pension the period during which he was an Hospital Assistant remarks that the position of Hospital Assistant in the Bombay Army analogous to that of the Native Doctors in the Bengal Army and that as they are purely Military appointments service in such appointments cannot court towards a Civil Pension.
