Secretary in reply to letter of 18th Ultimo intimates that the transfer of the steamer duties to the Post Master at Allahabad tendered the intertainment of an additional Establishment necessary but the expence thus increased will be more than covered by receipts from this source observes that it is in conteplation to make arranegment by which a saving will accure to Government and advocate the plan at appointing unconvenanted officers to charge of the Post Office.
