Read a Despatch from the Honble Court of Directors No. 90 of 1856 dated 3rd replying to letter No. 15 of 1856 dated 1st February regarding the examintion of Uncood. Officers both before and after their admission into the Service approve intirely the proceedings of Government in this matter. Prosume that the Examiner of Uncood. assistant will be conducted by the individuals who conduct that examination of Cood. assistant as such an arrangement thingh desirable in itself will entail much additional labor on the Examiners and # them from their own pecular functions suggest that the Punjab plan of holding only one Examination in the year be adopted generally suggests that the arrangementsheretofore adopted in the different Presidencis for requiring a certain amount of instruction in those admitted into the service of Government in the lover geades he committed to the authorities charged with the administration of the newly acquired # under the direct control of the Government of India.
