To Secretary - In reply to letter dated 17th November last stated in explanation of the orders of the Government of India in the Foreign Department dated 24th August 1854 that Medical Officers in Government Service are entitled to remuneration for Medical Attendance on the families of the Public Servants whom they must attend gratuitously, exception certain cases. No scale of fees for Medical Attendance on the families of Public Servants has ever been laid down - Refers to the notification on the subject published in the Calcutta Gazette.
