In reply to endorsement No. 1647, dated the 24th ultimo, with enclosure from the Accountant General, British Burmah, inquiring whether, until the Rangoon Lunatic Asylum is built, he may pass to the Superintendent of the Rangoon Jail the salary sanctioned for the Civil Surgeon as Superintendent of the Asylum.
