L.S - In reply - The services of Mr. Sheppard not having been of unusually long duration nor does it appear to have been distinguished by any circumstances of such extraordinary merit as would warrant the grant to him of a pension of 200 Rs. Government therefore decline to award Mr. Sheppard a larger Pension than 100 Rs. per month.
