Governor General - Calling the attention of the Board to the orders recently received from the Secret Committee Court of Directors respecting the state of the Company resources in India - Urges the necessity of adopting every practicable measure for reducing the Expences and improving the revenew to the utmost extant - Suggests the Appointment of Special Committee for those purposes and nominates the members of them also proposes that communication on this subject be made to the other Presidency with the view to their prosecuting similar measure.
