Extract Political Department - In reply to a Reference of the 4th February last - Transfer copy of a letter from the Resident at Lucknow & of a Minute recorded by Mr. Lunsdon on the subject of the memorial from Mr. Becher complaining of oppression etc. The Resident states that it is impracticable to obtain satisfactory information on the subject of the memorial in question.
