Letter from William Markham, Resident at Beneras, forwarding an account of the reeipts and disbursements of his Treasury form the 21st January to the 3rd March, 1782, intimating that he has paid Gopal Das the whole of his demand on the Company, but that he has refused to pay the interest demanded by him, not having had any orders to that effect.
