Retrenchment of superior staff on the Assay Deptt. Abolition of the posts of Assay Master held by Major W. I. Kennedy Minards and one Deputy Assay Master held by Mr.I.C.Gupta, and transfer of the Administrative control of the Assay Office to the Mint Master, Bombay. Rejection of the memorials from these two officers praying that they may be retained in service.
